for the Week of February 11-16, 2008
- The
following students successfully auditioned for the Pennsylvania Music
Educators Association (PMEA) Region VI/State Honors Band, to be held @
Oxford High School on Saturday, February 23, 2008: Katie Troutman (grade 12- Flute); Tyler Schwirian (grade 11- Tuba), & Paul Prescod (grade 11- Bb Cornet).
- The following students
successfully auditioned for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association
(PMEA) Region VI/State Honors Orchestra, to be held @ North Penn High
School on Saturday, March 8, 2008: Katie
Troutman (grade 12- Flute) & Tyler
Schwirian (grade 11- Tuba).
- The
Spring-Ford Area Senior High School Band, Chorus & Color Guard will be
hosting an information meeting for all interested 8th grade
students in the Spring-Ford Area School District, regardless of experience
or previous participation, this coming Tuesday, February 12, 2008 (snow
date- Wednesday, February 13) @ 7:30 PM in the band room of the
Spring-Ford Area Senior High School 10-12 grade center (please enter by
door #10), which is located at 350 South Lewis Road, in Royersford, PA.
Staff & student representatives from each organization will be present
that evening to answer your questions about the high school music program.
- The
Spring-Ford Music Association (SFMA)
is sponsoring a Reppert’s Easter Candy/Cheesecake Heaven Fundraiser
through February 18, 2008, with pick-up on March 6, 2008 from 4:00-7:00 PM
in the cafeteria of Spring-Ford High School 10-12 grade center. The profit
from each kit will be divided 60/40 between the seller’s Student Point
Account (SPA) & the Spring-Ford Music Association.
- There
will be a meeting involving the indoor guards participation in the
Tournament Indoor Association (TIA) Championship week in Wildwood, New
Jersey (www.weekendinwildwood.com)
on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 @ 6:00 PM in the band room of the
Spring-Ford High School 10-12 grade center (enter by door #10). All indoor
guard parents & friends are encouraged to attend.

monthly meeting of the Spring-Ford Music Association will be held on

- The
next rehearsal for the fall 2008 Spring-Ford High School Marching Band
Percussion Section will be on Monday, February 11, 2008 from 7:00-9:00 PM
@ the 10-12 grade center.
- The
Spring-Ford High School Band & Music Association will be hosting their
2nd Annual “Winter Spectacular” Tournament Indoor Association
(TIA) Indoor Percussion/Indoor Guard Competition on Saturday, March 15,
2008 in the gymnasium of Spring-Ford High School. There are over 50 units
slated to attend from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, & Maryland.
Tickets are $8.00 adults, $5.00 students.
