Spring-Ford Marching Band Uniform Guidelines

Parents and Students,

It is your responsibility to have your uniform clean and ready for all performances.  Below is a list of guidelines for uniform maintenance.

  1. Blue Jacket- Must be dry cleaned only.  If your jacket gets dirty, sweaty or stained, you are responsible to have it cleaned in time for your next performance.

  1. Grey Pants- Must be dry cleaned only.  Follow the same guidelines that are listed above.  Worn at football games and if the weather is too messy for white pants.

  1. White Pants- These are machine washable with whites only!  Please spot clean them first.  Pay close attention to the cuffs, these get particularly dirty.   These are worn at TOB competitions.

  1. Hat- Marching Band Hats are to be stored in the plastic hat boxes provided and wiped with a damp cloth, if necessary.

  1. White Marching Band Shoes- These need to be cleaned for performances.  Try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for tuff marks.  Students are required to purchase their own shoes.

  1. White Cotton Gloves-  Machine washable.  Students are required to purchase them.  We suggest 2 pairs, they get dirty easily.

  1. Blue Marching Band T-Shirt-  Machine Washable.  T-shirt is worn under jacket to all performances and students must purchase their own.  We suggest buying two since many weekends involve multiple performances.

  1. White Socks- Socks must be tall.  No ankle socks

  1. Gauntlets- white vinyl cuffs worn to TOB competitions.  Students purchase their own.

If your uniform becomes damaged, please let Mrs. Mea know as soon as possible.  If you have difficulty making sure your white pants get washed, please see Mr. or Mrs. Mea or Mrs. Saylor and they will help you.  After your uniform is cleaned it should be stored in the garment bag that has been provide and placed in the uniform room.

If you need to purchase anything, see Mr. Eckstine for an order form.
